First held in the 1993–1994 season, there are currently five awards, tailored to the different categories of riders: Men Elite, Women Elite, Men Under 23, Women Under 23, and Men Junior. Fayetteville will play host to one of three World Cups held in the United States in autumn of 2021, flanking events in Waterloo, Wisconsin, October 10, and Iowa City, Iowa, October 17. This race will provide a taste of what’s to come for the World Championships, January 28-30, 2022. The race will be featured on the same course and serve as a great preview of what’s to come for the World Championships, the biggest event for the sport of Cyclo-cross.
